I've decided I will, in fact, be headed to my vacation home in Greece. It makes for a particularly good way to achieve solitude whilst I put the final touches on what is certain to be a fantastic new Potion. I will, of course, respond to all incoming mail while I am away.
Unexpected visits are highly discouraged.

I'm considering a celebratory mini-vacation soon. Greece is always lovely, but perhaps something new? Suggestions greatly appreciated.

I'd like to offer my personal thanks to both the players and spectators of Friday's game. We were able to raise over 12,000 galleons from the tickets and private donations for the Orphan's fund. The game was well played. Once again, thank you to everyone who made it possible.

For those of you that are interested, I thought I'd share the official roster for the charity game next week. The Prophet only managed to mention a few names. With the general outcry over their inability to print quality news, I've also declined another sit-down with them to announce the second Seeker.
For your pleasure -
Mr Viktor Krum will be playing in the game opposite of Mr Harry Potter. He seems quite excited to fill the position. I expect the match will be entertaining and hope all of you will purchase a ticket. The price of your seat also includes as much food as you can eat in the Banquet to follow - which will be held in the Great Hall. Every thing goes toward the Orphan's education fund.

There is something seriously wrong with our society today. I find myself more and more disturbed every time I must intermingle with the general populous. What happened to ethics and morals? Must society really degrade itself to such levels of public indecency? The gross disregard for basic human regard is revolting. I cannot believe it is too much to ask for a small grain of respect. I, for one, am severely disappointed with the amount of openly lewd interaction that seems to dominate the behavior of our culture. This new Rome is appalling.
Is good old fashioned dignity truly dead?

As my cousin so kindly pointed out a few days ago - February 27th is my date of birth. Quite frankly I find nothing particularly special about birthdays. We all grow older. It is an inevitable event and one step closer to death. Must we celebrate this fact?
It is widely believed that large-scale celebrations of the birthday in Europe began with the cult of Mithras in Persia. For those of you who don't know, this religion was popular with muggle Roman soldiers before Christianity was wide-spread. As we all known, the Romans were particularly "sinful". I imagine that this celebration originated as just another excuse to drink and fornicate. Merlin forbid any work get done.
Enough of that. I've actually come to declare my success in dealing with one Miss Minerva McGonagall. The insufferable wom She has agreed to allow Hogwarts to host a very special Quiditch game in the near future. Naturally I will release further details shortly. Know this - it will be an event you won't wish to miss.
With that I retire my pen for the evening-
